Over
16,000 individual pieces of inlay, cut from six rare and exotic
woods — Burl walnut, satinwood, Brazilian rosewood, African
ebony, tulipwood and padouk.
Could this be the conference or banquet table youÕve always
wanted, but didnÕt exist? If youÕve imagined owning a table
of this rarity and complexity with a level of handcrafted marquetry
seldom achieved in the past century, this is your first opportunity
to make that dream a reality. The fact is, this is the first
and only table of its kind in the world. The next one Ñ or a
unique table of this calibre Ñ could be yours.
This table represents the most complicated and challenging marquetry
project we have tackled to date. The development work for the
design and refinement of the inlays, selection of the woods
and experimentation to achieve the right balance of colors,
contrast, proportion and three dimensional effects took six
weeks. Then the process of taking the many pages of drawings
and blueprints to reality took six months of painstaking labor
and anxious anticipation on the part of the designer, the client
and the artisans entrusted to this formidable feat. The end
result of this effort is a new member of our furniture family,
the Renaissance Masterpiece Collection Table.
Fewer than six people per year worldwide will acquire one of
these incredibly complicated works of art, because there are
not enough man hours in the lives of our team of artisans to
create more. If you appreciate this quality of hand made artisan
furniture and would like us to build something special for you,
please give us a call to discuss your own personal furniture
fantasy.
